Norway’s Enslaved are about to return to Canada on their current North American tour with Between the Buried and Me. As such I am happy to debut my latest interview with Ivar and Grutle from the band where we talk about their blackened prog masterpiece In Times, the role of Norse culture in their music, and how they’re now treated a lot better at home than they were in the nineties. Watch the video now in the Interviews section, and catch them in Toronto on December 10th and Ottawa on December 11th.

Check out the Interviews section for two new chats with modern metal guitarists: ex-Megadeth and current Act of Defiance guitarist Chris Broderick and Allegaeon guitarist Greg Burgess.

My interview with Jasyn Bangert of horror-industrial act God Module is now available in the Interviews section. The band was completely robbed at the beginning of their tour only to be saved by an ultra-successful crowdfunding campaign. We also talked about their sound and why they seem to only play their more danceable tracks live.

At the end of the summer Riot Fest returned to Toronto’s Downsview Park bigger and better than ever with a more diverse lineup and a ton of entertainment. My first of two interviews from the Fest is with Toronto rapper Jazz Cartier who turned in a ferocious thirty minute set after flying across the country to be there. We talked about his album Marauding in Paradise and why his unique style stands apart from other Canadians. Watch it in the Interviews section.
