The avant-garde musical duo of hackedepicciotto, Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten and Danielle de Picciotto, co-founder of the Love Parade festival, are currently in Canada on a short tour in support of their new album Keepsakes. The nine-track album is dedicated to the concept of friendship, with each song inspired by a different person who has affected Hacke and De Picciotto’s lives. Read the interview here.

Tonight, Monday November 8th, Gwar returns to Toronto for the first time since the start of the pandemic on the 30th Anniversary Tour for their 1990 bloody classic Scumdogs of the Universe. I had a chance to speak with vocalist Michael Bishop aka The Berzerker Blóthar about this classic album, being back on tour, and the legacy of their late frontman Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus.

For the final Zombitrol At Home interview, I spoke to Heri Joensen, known for being the frontman of the Fareose metal band Týr. He’s got a new gothic/symphonic metal band with Czech vocalist Viktorie Surmová, and they’ve just released their debut album The Light Within. I want to thank you for taking the time to read any of the At Home interviews over the last year. I hope to have more writing and events for you in the near future.

The latest At Home interview is with Freddy Lim, not only the frontman for the Taiwanese black metal band Chthonic, but also a twice-elected legislator in parliament. Find out how an extreme metal band inexplicably became the most beloved cultural icons of an entire nation, and how Lim defied nearly all expectations to become one of his country’s most notable politicians.
