Freshly published on A Journal of Musical Things is my new interview with Arkells frontman Max Kerman. Our chat took place before the celebrated indie rockers performed a Samsung-sponsored mall gig at Sherway Gardens. Mall concerts will always make me think of pop-star Tiffany. But I’m apparently alone on that one as Kerman thought I was talking about the jewelry store. Listen to our chat now in the Interviews section.

Alan Cross’ A Journal of Musical Things has just published my new interview with the lovely Simone Denny. She’s best known for her success as the vocalist for Canadian techno superstars Love Inc, and for being the voice of the theme for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. She’s just released her new album in collaboration with former Monster Voodoo Machine frontman Adam Sewell, The Stereo Dynamite Sessions Vol. 1, and it’s unlike anything she’s released before. Have a listen to our chat in the Interviews section.

I’ve just posted a new interview with vocalist Travis Ryan of San Diego death metallers Cattle Decapitation for Alan Cross’ A Journal of Musical Things. They’ve been labeled a vegan/vegetarian band so we chat about their supposed political activism as well as the evolution of their avant-garde sound. You can check it out in the Interviews section.

Check out my latest interview for Alan Cross’ A Journal of Musical Things with Madonna’s metal guitarist Monte Pittman where we talk about how playing for the Queen of pop is similar to playing for his old band Prong. Plus guess what Slayer song Madonna jams out in the rehearsal room?
