My interview with Jasyn Bangert of horror-industrial act God Module is now available in the Interviews section. The band was completely robbed at the beginning of their tour only to be saved by an ultra-successful crowdfunding campaign. We also talked about their sound and why they seem to only play their more danceable tracks live.

One of my favourite interviews of late has been with Glass Tiger’s Alan Frew. In late August he sent a ripple of shock through the rock world when he announced that he had suffered a stroke. I sat down with him at Toronto’s Hard Rock Cafe to get a health update and talk about his new eighties covers album 80290 Rewind. The album is a real gem as Frew delivers passionate takes on tracks by Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Yes, and many more. It’s just been published by A Journal of Musical Things and you can listen now in the Interviews section.

I’m so proud to announce the release of my latest interview with British heavy metal legends Judas Priest for A Journal of Musical Things! They’re currently on tour for their latest album Redeemer of Souls and I was lucky enough to get a phone chat with guitarist Glenn Tipton. We talked about whether or not the band has actually slowed down since their supposed final major world tour, and how I feel the new album is the most prog release of their entire career. Have a listen in the Interviews section.

Freshly published on A Journal of Musical Things is my new interview with Arkells frontman Max Kerman. Our chat took place before the celebrated indie rockers performed a Samsung-sponsored mall gig at Sherway Gardens. Mall concerts will always make me think of pop-star Tiffany. But I’m apparently alone on that one as Kerman thought I was talking about the jewelry store. Listen to our chat now in the Interviews section.
